John E. Hill is the author of Democracy, Equality and Justice: John Adams, Adam Smith, and Political Economy (Lexington Books, 2007), a revised and expanded edition of Revolutionary Values for a New Millennium: John Adams, Adam Smith and Social Virtue (Lexington Books, 2000). Curry College has recognized him as Person of the Year and for excellence in academic advising. In addition Curry has given him two Faculty Achievement Awards, and he has received a national award for advising. Curry honored him with the title "Curry fellow" for 2007, the first time this award was given. He has served in numerous elective faculty positions at Curry. He has also published in various journals and lectured throughout eastern Massachusetts in various programs of the Massachusetts Foundation for the Humanities.
